Link Templates for Usability
Adding templates to your style guide is a great way to make it easy for users to have everything in one place.
Kraft Heinz does a great job of including links to the template for the chart right next to the chart type and what it’s used for. They have templates for multiple programs: Figma, Tableau and PowerBI. External users cannot actually access the templates because there’s a sign in link, which protects them from use by anyone.
This is a great example of putting content in one place for people and not letting a publicly available style guide stop you from adding internal documents.
